Planting season is here!

Join us for this 3 week hands-on workshop as we begin learning what it means to be a backyard farmer. Fall/Winter planting season will soon be upon us so now is the time to prep, plant, and grow!

Week 1: Here we will learn how to build, plan and plant a raised bed garden. The focus of this event will be on the standard 4x8 grow box and cool season vegetables.

Week 2: Composting and soil building. What is a healthy soil? What kind of soil are you working with? How can you enhance and maintain healthy soil? There are ways to take our waste and convert it into food for our plants…Learn the answers to these basic questions and more!

Week 3: What is companion planting? Companion planting in gardening is the selection process and planting of different crops close together for pest control, pollination, providing habitat for beneficial creatures, maximizing use of space, and to otherwise increase crop productivity. We will learn how to choose which plants can be grown together, and which cannot, so as to have a better garden. Perfect for all garden sizes!!

All instructions, handouts, and information included.

$35 per person per class and $45 for couples.

Space is limited so registration and pre-pay required.

Thank you
